August is just about over, and I swear each month we’re in quarantine feels shorter than the last. Unfortunately, it’s not looking like we will get out of social distancing/quarantine status any time soon because the virus is still not managed in the US. I can only go on hoping that things will start improving.
So I managed to not buy many books this month! September may be a whole other story, but shhh that doesn’t matter right now. As usual, I’m putting every penny away for my wedding next year, but that doesn’t mean I can’t buy myself some books rights?! So see below for the books that I acquired this month!

Happy end of February! This month has just flown by. Even with it being a leap year and having one extra day in February, I still feel like it just started yesterday. Somehow it is already almost March and will be spring before we know! Time flies when we’re having fun!!
I have been SOOO good with not buying books this month. We are really trying to save for this wedding we have next year, so I’ve been utilizing the library more now than I normally would! I still have some books to talk about – I can never go a month without getting at least one!!

I swear this month has felt like the longest month every. I always feel like the month of January goes so slow every year – and then the next 11 months fly by. This month I acquired a good amount of books, mostly using Christmas gift cards, but still including the usual subscription box book. I still have some gift card money left, which I plan to put into pre-orders that I’m really excited about. Outside of that, I’m really planning on cutting down my spending on books!

Happy end of the year!! I got most of my hauled books for Christmas, as I did pretty well with buying knowing my family would get me books (and gift cards!) – but of course I still got my subscription box books. One goal of mine for next year is to be more mindful of how much money I spend on books as I have a wedding to plan and save for! I’m going to set a limit for myself… I’m just not sure what that limit is yet!

This month I got my December Owlcrate, November Shelflove Crate, and Decembet BOTM. This will be my last month getting Shelflove Crate, because unfortunately their service has really gone downhill and they are now requiring subscribers to pay a month in advance for the box – e.g. charged in December for January’s box, that would even ship until January 20th (if it’s on time, which is hasn’t been for the last year). SO I cancelled that on Black Friday and started BOTM! I actually got my December BOTM picks BEFORE my November Shelflove Crate. That says something.

My last edition was a special edition book I purchased a few months back from FairyLoot! My post office held it hostage for several weeks, even though it was released in November – I didn’t get it until this month. Also, the publisher made a mistake and sent these copies out to the general public, so they created ANOTHER special edition dust jacket that they will be sending us to replace!
